1. What Ouyu Does
Ouyu allows you to:
- Create an account using your mobile phone number and a one-time passcode (OTP)
- See which of your existing phone contacts also use Ouyu
- Choose to become “discoverable” so selected friends can see you when you are nearby
- Invite contacts via universal links
- Control when your location is shared and when it is turned off
Ouyu is not a public social network.

2. Information We Collect

- Phone number: Required for account creation and login.
- OTP verification code: Used once to confirm your phone number.
- Profile details: Such as display name or avatar (optional).
- Support communications: Any messages you send to our support team.

- Match contacts and identify mutual Ouyu users
- Show you who is nearby when you have opted in

We keep your information only as long as necessary to provide Ouyu or meet legal obligations.

- Location data: Only last-known location is stored; removed when discoverability is disabled or account deleted.
- Contacts hash/match data: Refreshed and purged periodically.
- Logs and analytics: Retained temporarily for debugging and security.
