Terms of Use – Ouyu

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ouyu mobile application (“Ouyu”, “the App”).
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Ouyu is provided by Livmo Holdings Pty Ltd (t/a Ouyu App), located at 1205 / 1-5 Railway Street, Chatswood, NSW 2067, Australia.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use Ouyu.
1. Eligibility
To use Ouyu, you must:
  • Be at least 16+
  • Have full authority to enter into these Terms
  • Use your own mobile phone number
  • Not be prohibited from using such services under applicable laws
2. Account Registration
To create an account, you must:
  • Provide your phone number
  • Verify it using a one-time passcode (OTP)
  • Grant permissions needed for App functionality (e.g., contacts, location — optional)
You are responsible for:
  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • Any activity under your account
  • Informing us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
We may refuse or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Permissions Required
3.1 Contacts Access
If you grant permission, Ouyu will:
  • Read phone numbers in your contacts
  • Match them securely to identify mutual Ouyu users
  • Not share your contacts publicly
  • Not upload full contact books in plain text
You may revoke permission at any time.
3.2 Location Access
If you choose to be discoverable, Ouyu will:
  • Collect your real-time or last-known location
  • Show your distance or nearby status to selected contacts
  • Stop collecting location when permissions are revoked or discoverability is off
4. How Ouyu Works
Ouyu is a private, contact-based app.
You can:
  • See which contacts are on Ouyu
  • Opt-in to show when you are nearby
  • Invite contacts using universal links
  • Turn off discoverability at any time
Ouyu is not a public social network and does not display information to strangers.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
  • Use Ouyu for harassment, stalking, abuse, or harmful behaviour
  • Misuse location features to track someone without consent
  • Upload harmful, illegal, or offensive content
  • Create accounts with false information or reuse someone else's phone number
  • Attempt to access or collect information from users without permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the App
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these rules.
6. Invitations & Universal Links
You may invite contacts to Ouyu through:
  • SMS
  • Universal links
  • Other sharing tools provided by your device
You are responsible for ensuring that the recipients are people you know.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, code, features, and branding used in Ouyu belong to Livmo Holdings Pty Ltd (t/a Ouyu App).
You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Ouyu in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, sell, distribute, or create derivative works from Ouyu without permission.
8. Termination
8.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time in the App or by contacting info@ouyu-app.com.
8.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
  • You violate these Terms
  • We detect fraudulent or harmful behaviour
  • We need to comply with legal obligations
  • We discontinue or modify the service
8.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
  • Your access to the App is revoked
  • Your last-known location, profile, and matches are removed
  • Some limited logs may remain for compliance and security
9. Disclaimers
Ouyu is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
We do not guarantee:
  • Continuous or error-free service
  • Exact accuracy of location data
  • That the App will perfectly match all contacts
You use Ouyu at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Livmo Holdings Pty Ltd (t/a Ouyu App) will not be liable for:
  • Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • Security breaches beyond reasonable control
  • Misuse of location or contact information by other users
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability will not exceed the amount you have paid to use Ouyu (if any).
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Livmo Holdings Pty Ltd (t/a Ouyu App), its officers, employees, and partners from any claims arising from:
  • Your use of Ouyu
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your interactions with other users
12. International Use
You are responsible for complying with local laws in your region.
Some features may not be available in all countries.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time.
If changes are significant, we will notify you via the App or other communications.
Your continued use of Ouyu means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales (NSW), Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales (NSW), Australia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
